We help parents to understand all
their child’s reports by providing feedback; ensuring the parent can use this
information in an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) application, receive
additional support from school and explore other avenues of need.
We offer an EHCP application writing service and guide parents in applying themselves for an EHCP; we ensure all the information that needs to be included is in the application.
We assist parents in applying to the First-tier Tribunal if their local authority turns down a request for an assessment, refuses to issue an EHCP after assessment, refuses to make changes to a child’s draft EHCP, or doesn’t name the preferred choice of school.
We provide an EHCP checking service; we read all the reports attached to the EHCP and make sure that all information is included so it best reflects the child. We ensure that all strategies are included, and quantified, and unlawful language is removed.
We work with parents by attending any relevant meetings and become the voice of the child. A pre-meeting will take place beforehand, so we fully understand the case history and the parent’s wishes/agenda.
Having a child with special education needs can have a direct effect on family life and reaching family goals. We provide life-coaching sessions to help families clarify their goals and put plans in place to achieve their goals. We offer both 1:1 and family life-coaching sessions; this can be in person in the Oxfordshire area.
We provide a tutoring service
within the Bicester/Oxford area for children who need general help in learning
to learn and need support to re-build self-esteem and confidence. We
believe in making these sessions fun and practical and always use a
multi-sensory approach.
